6月16日，深中通道通过交工验收，标志着这座历经7年前期筹备、7年艰苦建设的世界级跨海集群工程圆满完成各项建设任务，工程质量通过“大考”，即将在万众瞩目中“上岗”，画上珠江口“黄金内湾”A字形交通网络骨架的关键一横，开创湾区交通发展新格局。
